The 28th edition of the Annecy Italian Cinema will be held from September 28 to October 5, 2010

Annecy Italian Cinema held its first edition in 1983 and since this event every year the best of contemporary Italian film production.

For the 28th edition of this event, became the rendezvous for lovers of Italian cinema, various sections are foreseen.

Program.

a selection of works of the year, including a dozen feature films – first or second film – in competition and as many documentaries presented in the context of a specific competition. Will also offer film portraits of filmmakers and comedians.

A selection of films of director Sergio Leone accepting the award for lifetime achievement.

A selection of homage to the Piedmont region and its capital, Turin (in partnership with the Piedmont Film Commission)

A Security Council delegation will leave New York next Saturday for a 10-day visit to Africa. The delegation will begin its work June 2 to Djibouti, where talks are taking place between the Somali Government and opposition. The delegation will visit then Khartoum, from June 3 to 5, to hold meetings with the Government and a visit to El Fasher, Darfur.
